The ending of Marvel’s “Echo” shows Fisk jumping on a plane, still rattled by his encounter with Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox). From there, viewers are left with a tease of his plans to head to the mayor’s office, taking from Marvel Comics’ “Devil’s Reign.” If “Born Again” is set to adapt this story arc, things are about to get political, and chances are that Kingpin might encounter a few problems when Poindexter returns, understandably not in the best of moods.
How this could impact the story that’s supposed to unfold on the new show is unknown. Kingpin may have another enemy to deal with — or a new ally. As part of Fisk’s run as mayor in the comics, he outlaws vigilantism and enlists the aid of the Thunderbolts to crack down on any key offenders. While Bullseye isn’t known to be part of the aforementioned team in the MCU, he could still stand in as the mayor’s muscle on “Born Again,” that is, if he doesn’t try to kill him first.
